Summoning's first song with programmed drums (recorded in the Spring of 1995) was featured exclusively on the 1995 Napalm Records compilation CD "With Us Or Against Us".

Michael Gregor and Mike Gröger (Raventhrone, Hollenthon) are not the same person!

Summoning was part of the Austrian Black Metal Syndicate, along with Pervertum, Trifixion, Pazuzu, Golden Dawn and Abigor.

"Mirdautas Vras" (track 3) is in the black language of Mordor and translates to "A Good Day to Kill".

For the first time, a real flute is used (on "Land of The Dead"). A short mix (04:52) of the song was officially released online prior to the album's release on Summoning's forum and Napalm Records' site. It was later released on the bonus CD of Napalm Records' 2006 DVD compilation "The Realm of Napalm Records".

Formed in 1990 as an off-shoot from Mortem, which continued in parallel with Arcturus for a few years. Arcturus is therefore not the same band as Mortem with simply a new name, but rather a different project featuring the same members.

Broke up in April 2007, but reunited in 2011 and started touring again.

In september of 2011, Artisan (a blog and project run by Jens F. Ryland and Asgeir Mickelson announced the official return of the band (http://www.artisannorway.com/3116/artisan-welcomes-arcturus/).

Released as digi-pack ALC 002 (first press with lack of 8th track on the cover, second press with all tracklist).

4 songs are re-recorded and 4 are new.

Solo project of Neige. As a child, Neige had dreams about a "Fairy Land", "a place with colours, forms and sounds that do not exist here." The music of Alcest is highly influenced by these dream experiences.

Starting out playing raw black metal, Alcest soon evolved into black metal with strong post-rock and shoegaze influences.

The band's name Alcest doesn't have any meaning, Neige just chose it for its noble ethereal sounding and wouldn't imagine any other name in its pronunciation ("Al-sest") to fit better with this music.

'Kivimetsän Druidi' is Finnish for "druid of the stone forest."

Their lyrics are based on the fantasy novel Joni Koskinen is writing. The novel tells a story from "The Land of the Crystal Mountain and Stone Forest."

'KmD' originally started as a two man project of the Koskinen brothers.

The band was first formed under the name Thornmoon, but renamed to Thyrane soon after. They started out as a symphonic black metal group and later evolved into a blackened industrial metal group on the "Hypnotic" album. "Travesty of Heavenly Essence" marked Thyrane's return to their symphonic black metal origins with industrial touches.

Blastmor made guest vocals for Alghazanth in the song "He Awaits..." of their Thy Aeons Envenomed Sanity album.

The band called it quits in May 2006.

The name Naglfar is derived from Norse mythology; Naglfar is the ship made of dead men's nails that will carry the giants and forces of chaos across the sea to the battle of Ragnarök.

Bass player Kristoffer Olivius replaced Jens Rydén as vocalist, and the band's friend Morgan Lie became the bass player (initially only as a live guest).

Kristoffer Olivius made a guest appearance for power metal band Nocturnal Rites on their 2005 "Grand Illusion" album.

In 2011, according to their Facebook Official page, the band states that they'll continue as a trio, consisting in Kristoffer, Andreas e Marcus.
